-The Power of the beautiful game
The Big issue Foundation organises a weekly game pf football for the vendors. Its amazing how a good kickabout can boot the blues away.

-Opportunities for ex-prisoners
Finding accommodation and employment as an ex-prisoner can be tough. Read how The Big Issue Foundation is offering support in overcoming these obstacles

-Kindness and Claustrophobia
Living rough was tough for Terry, after sleeping rough. He tells us how the Big Issue Foundation and gifts from strangers made a difference.

-The Battle against substance abuse
Former addict Richard Mortimer is moving on thanks to The Big Issue Foundation. He tells Daemienne Sheehan how.

-To your good health
Our lifestyle is just not conducive to good health,” white-haired vendor Joseph admits. “Most of the food we eat is stodge so we overeat to get the daily goodness we need. Fruit is not in great supply – burgers, sausages and endless cups of sugary tea keep us going in our selling jobs. With The Big Issue Foundation’s Health Week (HW), we were able to have healthy breakfasts including cereals, fruit juices, not just all week but all day. The dentists came too."

-Giving The Gift Of Financial Security
With muggings of homeless people not uncommon, it is vital that they are able to open bank accounts. But, as Daemienne Sheehan finds out, puzzling forms, a lack of ID, and bank clerk intimidation can make this a hard task.
